I have taught courses on a wide range of subjects, from the history of sexuality and race in the United States, to feminist humor studies, to the politics of health and science, to modern social thought. These courses have taken shape as small seminars, team-based learning modules, large general education lectures, and, due to Covid-19, remote multimodal sessions. I have advised an array of graduate and undergraduate students from disciplines including Communication, Theater, English Literature, Comparative Literature, and German Studies. In 2018 I was honored to receive an Outstanding Teaching Award from the College of Humanities and Fine Arts of the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Below are some examples of courses I have taught recently, with links to syllabi. For full details of my teaching experience, please see my CV.
